How to choose your sofa and sofabeds?

Futons : a mattress made after Japanese technique, laying on a wooden frame. This gives a Zen style to the room.

The mattress folds in half (1 fold accross the length of the mattress). The mattress is usually thick (around 20 cm deep) and it can be used for an everyday usage (although we recommend a real bed for a daily use).

They are ideal if you want to save space, or you just want that extra sleeping space for when you have guests.

The mecanism is made out of 2 folds, and support the mattress with wood slats or taught fabric.

Mattresses are usually thin, 5 to 6 cm, so that it can fold properly. Therefore it is not for an everyday use.

Can you fold a sofabed with the all the linen and pillows still on the mattress?		You can fold the sofa bed with the mattress protector and the fitted sheet still on the mattress. However, you should remove all the other linen and the pillows because they will prevent your from properly folding the bed and you may damage the mechanism by trying to force it. You can store these items in a cupboard or in an Ottoman.
